Great things are happening at the GlassDoor restaurant, welcoming a new Chef and launch of our refreshed menu!
Porto Vista Hotel is excited to announce that Dominick Scott has been appointed as the new Chef. Dominick comes with several years of experience in the restaurant industries and will be overseeing all of the hotel’s culinary operations, including the GlassDoor Restaurant & Bar.
Chef’s love for culinary rooted since he was a child helping his mother around the kitchen. Raised in a military family moving state to state, he has called San Diego home for the past 10 years. After attending culinary school, Chef has worked for USS Midway, Wavehouse, Draft, Burlap, Searsucker and more! While taking on the fun fast paced San Diego dining scene, Chef has had the pleasure learning from skilled local Chef’s which include Anthony Sinsay, Katsuya Fukishima, Jose Ruiz “Jojo” and Top Chef Brian Malarkey.
“I’m committed to use local farms and markets to source the best quality ingredients” says Chef Dominick. He’s taking the GlassDoor menu on a fresh savory spin by utilizing fresh produce and making some dishes from scratch for authentic taste! New additions include delicious fish tacos, mouth watering Gorgonzola rib eye, and shrimp flatbread to just name a few.
